About Tina & David
Tina: “I have a very varied background in education and as a master trainer. I was a commonwealth games coach in 2010, 2014 and 2018, with gold medallist David Liti. We’ve also been to a number of world championships now, I’m very passionate about the sport, and I’m loving it!”
David: “My name is David Liti, I am an Olympic weightlifter representing New Zealand, I dabbled with weightlifting from 2009, just playing around with it until 2014. I’ve been competitive from 2015 until now, and have been to the Junior Worlds in 2016, and Senior Worlds in 2017, 2018, and 2019. I was commonwealth gold medallist in 2018, and I’m hoping to go to Tokyo next year.”
